We really like Maclin to produce right away in this offense and be a solid player fantasy-wise. However, this concerns us and everyday Maclin doesn't show drops him on the depth chart on a team with many options at wide receiver.

We really didn't see this coming and we're not too sure on where he fits in Philly. Wildcat? Surely they have a bona-fide QB in McNabb, some solid receivers in DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Kevin Curtis, and not to mention All-Everything RB Brian Westbrook. We'll see how this plays out.

However, Kevin was hampered by a sports hernia for most of last year, and is now a 31-year old damaged receiver at a crowded position in Philly fighting to keep his status. At this point, Curtis is still the starter opposite DeSean Jackson, but he's going to have to hold off rookie first-round draft pick Jeremy Maclin the whole year if he wants to be fantasy relevant in 2009.

Kolb was absolutely awful last year when given the opportunity to play during blowouts. Since it was already a rumor during this past off-season that the Eagles were considering trading him, the signing of Vick to a two-year deal makes it a virtual lock that Kolb will be in a different uniform next year, and possibly even later this season.

The Eagles only gave up a fourth-round draft choice to pry him from Miami before the 2008 season, so there's not too much invested in him. It's clear that rookie LeSean McCoy is going to be the handcuff to Brian Westbrook this year, not the meek, underachieving Booker this season.

This kid has all the makings of a future stud in the league, much in the way of his teammate Brian Westbrook. He's a shifty runner, isn't shy of contact, can catch the ball well, and is getting better and better at picking up the blitz as well. We can't stress enough how important it is to make sure you grab McCoy if you own Westbrook on your team. He could be one of the best handcuffs to have once all is said and done this year.

This is easily the best news any fantasy owner could have hoped for at this point, as his non-participation was surely beginning to weigh on people's minds. Give him a couple of weeks to get his legs back under him, and I'm sure we'll be seeing the same old Westy we've all gotten used to.

Coach Andy Reid may have re-thought his decision earlier in the week to play Westy in this game. Our gut tells us that Reid decided not to take the chance with his All-Pro running back and save him up for the regular season.

The speculation is that Vick will be cleared to play for the Eagles Week 3 game if all goes well up until then. Vick has been on his best behavior, so we tend to agree that Goodell will make this move.

It seems Goodell believes in second chances just as much as the next guy. However, it's not a lock that Vick comes back and immediately takes over the backup QB role in Philly as he still has some learning to do of the Eagles system. Whatever the case, their will certainly be mixed reactions from both fans and players alike.
