Waiver Wire Pickups Week 13 (After Week 12 Games) 2018
Posted by Houdini on 11/26/18
ALL PLAYERS LISTED ARE OWNED IN 70% OR LESS OF CBS LEAGUES
QUARTERBACKS
LAMAR JACKSON – RAVENS – AVAILABLE IN 46% OF CBS LEAGUES
Lamar Jackson got his second start of his rookie season, and while he was not as effective as a runner this week, he still got the job done. Jackson completed 14 of 25 passes for 178 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions, although one was a ball that was tipped twice and picked in the endzone. Jackson still got the job done on the ground, carrying the ball 11 times for 71 yards with another touchdown. Flacco may be able to return next week, but the Ravens have won two games in a row, and Jackson is clearly the future for Baltimore.
COLT MCCOY – REDSKINS – AVAILABLE IN 91% OF CBS LEAGUES
McCoy is the man now for the Redskins and he put together a decent performance this week, throwing for 268 yards with two touchdowns, but he was picked three times. Colt did add some yards with his legs, running for 28 yards on five carries. He has some must win games ahead on the schedule where he will have to throw a lot against the Eagles, Giants and Jaguars.
CASE KEENUM – BRONCOS – AVAILABLE IN 67% OF CBS LEAGUES
Case had a tough matchup with the Steelers, but he was effective, throwing for 197 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He has a nice schedule coming up with road games at the Bengals and 49ers, then home for Browns and on the road at Oakland. That is going to make him viable.
RYAN TANNEHILL – DOLPHINS – AVAILABLE IN 80% OF CBS LEAGUES
Tannehill came back to action and while he did not light the fantasy world on fire, he was productive. Tannehill threw for 204 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also added 14 yards on the ground. The Adam Gase offense is not pass happy, so don’t expect too many 300-yard passing games.
CHASE DANIEL – BEARS – AVAILABLE IN 95% OF CBS LEAGUES
Trubisky may not be able to go again this week, and if that is the case you should consider Daniel against the Giants. Chase completed 27 of 37 passes for 230 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions last week. The Bears continued to run their normal offense under Daniel, which is promising if he starts this week with a full week of practice, which he didn’t have last week.
ELI MANNING – GIANTS – AVAILABLE IN 49% OF CBS LEAGUES
Eli had a good week, throwing for 297 yards with a touchdown and an interception. It is not looking good for him this week, as he will see the Bears and Khalil Mack chasing him down all day. After the Bears he goes to Washington, then home for Tennessee and on the road to Indianapolis.
RUNNING BACKS
JUSTIN JACKSON – CHARGERS – AVAILABLE IN 99% OF CBS LEAGUES
Melvin Gordon is considered week to week and will likely miss a few games. Justin Jackson looks to be the best option to come out of the mix ahead of Detrez Newsome. Jackson was more effective after Gordon went down, gaining 57 yards on seven carries. Newsome gained 15 yards on four carries. Jackson should get 10-15 touches this week.
THEO RIDDICK – LIONS – AVAILABLE IN 48% OF CBS LEAGUES
Kerryon Johnson may not be able to go next week against the Rams, and that could mean a heavy workload for Riddick, especially as a receiver. Against the Bears he caught all seven of his targets for 48 yards and the Lions are going to have to score a lot to keep up with the Rams. There is also a good opportunity for garbage yards and a score.
NYHEIM HINES – COLTS – AVAILABLE IN 57% OF CBS LEAGUES
Hines has a lot of flash and could get a lot more chances to spark this week at Jacksonville if Marlon Mack misses this game with a concussion. He would most likely do the majority of his damage as a receiver, so he is even more desirable in PPR formats.
FRANK GORE – DOLPHINS – AVAILABLE IN 30% OF CBS LEAGUES
Gore will give you steady production if you need it. He had 14 carries for 67 yards and a catch for 10 yards this last week. He is getting a solid amount of touches and has a great floor, but a lower ceiling.
ELIJAH MCGUIRE – JETS – AVAILABLE IN 57% OF CBS LEAGUES
McGuire was not very effective this week with only six carries for 19 yards and he only caught one of three targets for seven yards. It does not get a lot easier next week at the Titans, but he should be more active as a receiver in that game.
RASHAAD PENNY – SEAHAWKS – AVAILABLE IN 53% OF CBS LEAGUES
Penny had a horrible game against the Panthers with just only four yards on four carries. He should have an easier time finding open spaces this week when the Seahawks face the 49ers at home.
WIDE RECEIVERS
DAVID MOORE – SEAHAWKS – AVAILABLE IN 55% OF CBS LEAGUES
Moore has become the deep threat for the Seahawks, and he just keeps scoring touchdowns. This week he hauled in four of five targets for 103 yards including a nice catch for a score. Moor can be counted on going forward and should be added in all formats.
JOSH REYNOLDS – RAMS – AVAILABLE IN 36% OF CBS LEAGUES
Reynolds is still available in some leagues, and he is going to have a steady role the rest of the way with Cooper Kupp gone for the year. In his last game he caught six of eight targets for 80 yards with a touchdown.
JERMAINE KEARSE – JETS – AVAILABLE IN 94% OF CBS LEAGUES
Targets matter and Kearse is getting them with McCown under center. This week he was targeted 12 times and caught six of them for 66 yards with a score and he was targeted in the endzone on the last play of the game for the Jets as well.
JOSH DOCTSON – REDSKINS – AVAILABLE IN 85% OF CBS LEAGUES
Targets indeed matter for Doctson, who has benefited from Colt McCoy taking over at quarterback. He was targeted 10 times this week, catching six of them for 66 yards. If he continues to see a target share like this he needs to be added, especially with his ability to make the big play. He has never seen a target share like this, so grab him now and see if it continues.
ANTHONY MILLER – BEARS – AVAILABLE IN 46% OF CBS LEAGUES
It was not a great week with Chase Daniel under center, catching three passes for 41 yards, and Daniel may get the start again this week. The Bears do face the Giants, but Miller is more hit or miss this week.
DANTE PETTIS – 49ERS – AVAILABLE IN 96% OF CBS LEAGUES
Marquise Goodwin continues to miss games and Pettis has stepped in as the best target for Nick Mullins. This week he caught four of six targets for 77 yards with a touchdown. The 49ers are playing most games from behind and Pettis has done well when given the chance.
KEKE COUTEE – TEXANS – AVAILABLE IN 41% OF CBS LEAGUES
Coutee has a chance to make an impact on Monday Night Football and then it may be too late to grab him.
CHRISTIAN KIRK – CARDINALS – AVAILABLE IN 38% OF CBS LEAGUES
Kirk has been quiet as of late, but he showed some signs this week in a game where the Cardinals were blow out. Kirk caught four of six targets for 41 yards. It is going to inconsistent with Rosen at quarterback, but he does have boom potential down the stretch with games at Green Bay, home for Detroit and at Atlanta.
OTHER RECEIVERS TO CONSIDER
JOHN ROSS – BENGALS – AVAILABLE IN 82% OF CBS LEAGUES
DANNY AMENDOLA – DOLPHINS – AVAILABLE IN 43% OF CBS LEAGUES
MOHAMED SANU – FALCONS – AVAILABLE IN 41% OF CBS LEAGUES
CHRIS CONLEY – CHIEFS – AVAILABLE IN 96% OF CBS LEAGUES
TAYLOR GABRIEL – BEARS – AVAILABLE IN 75% OF CBS LEAGUES
WILLIE SNEAD – RAVENS – AVAILABLE IN 69% OF CBS LEAGUES
CURTIS SAMUEL – PANTHERS – AVAILABLE IN 92% OF CBS LEAGUES
RYAN SWITZER – STEELERS – AVAILABLE IN 99% OF CBS LEAGUES
TIGHT ENDS
CHRIS HERNDON – JETS – AVAILABLE IN 55% OF CBS LEAGUES
Herndon looked in rhythm with Josh McCown this week, catching seven of eight targets for 57 yards. There are not many options at tight end that have a chance to produce, but Herndon is the guy right now.
DALLAS GOEDERT – EAGLES – AVAILABLE IN 89% OF CBS LEAUGES
There are a lot of mouths to feed in Philadelphia, but Goedert is starting to carve out a role. He caught three of four targets for 33 yards this week. The hope is that he will continue to grow into the offense.
MATT LACOSSE – BRONCOS – AVAILABLE IN 99% OF CBS LEAGUES
Heuerman was lost for the season and Lacosse is now the man. He scored a touchdown this week and has a great schedule the rest of the way.
OTHER TIGHT ENDS TO CONSIDER
JONNU SMITH – TITANS – AVAILABLE IN 93% OF CBS LEAGUES
MARK ANDREWS – RAVENS – AVAILABLE IN 96% OF CBS LEAGUES
