2009 Review

Berrian was brought in to Minnesota to be the team’s primary wide receiver, but ended up suffering from injuries and the emergence of Sidney Rice.  His statistical numbers went down from 2008, even with the addition of Brett Favre.


~  Ranked 48th in the league with 85.8 WR fantasy points (basic scoring system)


~  Tied for 54th in the league with 4 receiving touchdowns


~  Ranked 63rd in the league with 618 receiving yards


~  Ranked 77th in the league with 38.6 receiving yards per game

Contract

Bernard signed a six-year, $43.4 million contract in early 2008.  The deal contained $16 million guaranteed, including a $5 million signing bonus and $11 million in roster bonuses of over the first two years (already collected).  The remaining years on the contract are charted below:
