Sims a Floor Streamer for Week 16

Pyro's take: You know my love for this kid. He has been back for 2 games now. In that time he has 9 targets to Martins 2; Sims is out catching him 3 to 1. This game is going to score the points and should favor the pass for the Bucs.

Fantasy Goo: When you adjust for schedule – in PPR formats, the Saints come in at 29th in other words, if you were going to pick 4 teams to play your RB against in PPR formats, the Saints would be on your short list.

Sims Activated for Week 14

Pyro's take: Sims, who last took a snap in Week 4, has been activated.

Fantasy Goo: While he is likely a change of pace for Martin, it should spell far fewer opportunities for JacQuizz Rodgers. Roto Wire has Sims listed as the #2 back on the depth chart.

Mo's Preaseason Sweetheart Back in Action

Pyro's take: Charles Sims returned to full practice today off the IR. He's available to return December 5th.

Fantasy Goo: As many may think this is bad for Doug Martin down the stretch, it should help him. Martin hasn't been fighting for extra yards like we're used to, him getting a breather should help him stay fresh.

Charles Sims Could Get Upwards of 20 Touches in Week 3

d

Pyro's take: Doug Martin is out for the foreseeable future. This is why you drafted Sims.

Fantasy Goo: It is no secret, I love Sims. Now he gets his chance to shine. It is a tougher matchup, but because of his work on the ground and in the passing game, he should see upwards of 20 touches in week 3

The Dougernaut To Miss Multiple Weeks With A Hamstring injury

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Pyro's take: Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin (hamstring), who underwent an MRI to determine the severity of his hamstring injury suffered in Week 2, is expected to miss "about three weeks" according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Goo: Martin is expected to miss multiple weeks with a hamstring injury that occurred during Week two's loss to the Arizona Cardinals. With Martin sidelined, Charles Sims will draw the start in Week 3's poor matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Despite the matchup, Sims should be considered a low-end RB2 in the contest who has better value in PPR scoring formats than in standard.

Charles Sims has been the sixth-most efficient pass blocker

CS

Pyro's take: Charles Sims is doing the tiny things well and its getting recognized by the coaching staff. Important aspects such as blocking and receiving are getting him more on the field, and he is using that to his advantage. He may not pick up a lot of yardage running the ball, but he could be a nice pick up for PPR owners. He ranks second on the team in receptions (10) and is third in receiving yards (108).

Probably Plays

According to Adam Caplan, Charles Sims looks as though he will play. "On #Buccaneers RB Charles Sims (ankle-questionable/limited all week): Expectation, as of now, is that he'll probably play vs. #Falcons."

Pyro's take: He probably does play, but with Bobby Rainey out there, he wont wont get much. Your best bet is to sideline him this week, and go with an alternative option.

Sims This Week?

General manager James Licht has stated that Charles Sims should be able to play this Sunday against the Falcons, according to Tom Krasniqi via twitter. Krasniqi is the Buccs reporter for 620 WDAE. "Licht says RB Charles Sims is very likely to make his debut this week against Atlanta."

Pyro's take: Not the greatest of sources here, but Charles Sims was a game-time decision last week, and should be ready-to-go this week, barring any set-backs. I dont expect many snaps from the rookie, as he has been out all season, and Rainey has played well-enough to continue carrying the load, in Doug Martin's absence.

Possible

According to Greg Aumun, beat writer for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, "Lovie Smith said rookie Charles Sims is "making progress. ... "I don't know if he'll be ready to go this week." Decision later in week."

Pyro's take: This doesnt look good for Sims. I expect that he will be out, but continue monitoring the situation. Bobby Rainey looks to be the man, as Doug Martin has been held from practice.

Could Be Up for Playing Time

Rookie Charles Sims could be in-line for more playing time, according to Tampa Bay Buccaneers reporter Tom Krasniqi "From the sound of things, RB Charles Sims will play a TON when he's ready."

Sims was the 69th overall pick in May's draft. There's an outside chance that Sims could become a flex option as early as Week 10 against the Falcons. The Bucs play the Browns this week.

Pyro's take: The Buccs season is virtually over, and they would like to see what they have on their roster in live game situations. If Sims plays well enough, he could turn that into more of a full-time position starting the next season, and forcing a trade with Doug Martin.
