No Marvin? No problem. It’s been a steady rise for Dallas Clark over the past 5-6 years, and now it seems the gun finally caught up to the bullet during the 2009 season. The fact is, looking at his numbers alone doesn’t do proper justice to the year he actually had. In a season full of question marks and inexperienced faces, Clark stood out as the most dependable target for Manning throughout it all. He came up with big receptions and first downs time and time again and if it weren’t for Colts owner Bill Polian, he might have led his team to an undefeated season. 100 catches, 1,100 yards, and 10 touchdowns is a career year for any wide receiver, let alone for a tight end. If this is the type of production we can expect him to have in the future, Dallas Clark might just be the new fantasy TE sheriff in town.
