Walker Ruled Out for Week 3

d

Pyro's take: He is indeed out.

Fantasy Goo: Sharpe not only has the best possible WR/CB matchup, he now gets a larger share of targets.

Walker to be a Game-Time Decision, Expect Huge Game from shapre

d

Pyro's take: Walker will test his hamstring in warm-ups. Sharpe draws the worst graded corner according to PFF, Sean Smith.

Fantasy Goo: If Walker does not play, Sharpe is even better. While Fasano is there, so is newly acquired, Jace Amaro. Hard to tell which backup TE will be the big recipient, but grab Sharpe in your DFS line-ups. Sean Smith has given up the more FF Points per route run than any other NFL cornerback in two weeks.

D Walker Questionable - Amaro Waits in the Wings

d

Pyro's take: Delaine Walker is listed as Questionable for Week 3. IF he does not go, Jace Amaro will get the start.

Fantasy goo: Walker did not practice on Friday which is never a good sign. If he fails to go, Amaro would be a great pickup. I am betting the over in this game, thus far Oakland's D has not lived up to the preseason hype. IF it is indeed Amaro, I like him as a GPP play in DFS. The Titans offense runs through the TE. Granted Amaro will not get the numbers Walker does, but could easily have a great day considering his low-end pricing.

Delaney Walker Is Drinking The Kool-Aid In Music City

The Tennessee Titans

Pyro's take: The Tennessee Titans are attempting to change the culture of the organization. Veteran players like Delanie Walker appear to be buying into the atmospheric shift in Tennessee. "Everybody is buying into the philosophy of what Mike Mularkey is selling, Walker said via TitansInsider.com. "We all in this locker room are tired of losing. So I think guys are really buying into this system, trying to figure out what we can do to change that mind-set."

Fantasy Goo: Delanie Walker is coming off of a career year last season as 2016 approaches. The 10-year veteran caught 94-of133 targets for 1,088 yards and six touchdowns in 2015, Those numbers not only led the team in those categories, but they nearly doubled those of every other Titans' receiver in receptions, targets, yards, and YAC. Walker should be considered a mid-range TE1 in the upcoming fantasy football campaign. But as Houdini warned in his buyer beware column you might want to let someone else land on that grenade,as the Titans added Rishard Matthews this offseason to bolster their receiving corps and are expected to be a power running offense, which could decrease Walker's opportunities.

Delanie Walker caught 8-of-10 targets for 109 yards

DW

Pyro's take: Walker finished with the most targets and receptions in the season for himself and the yardage was a new best.

Walker should continue to be considered as a number one tight end, especially against the Raiders next Sunday.

Delanie Walker (knee) doing well

DW

Pyro's take: According to Terry McCormick via Twitter "Injuries: Delanie Walker OK with knee; Wright out of practice Wednesday; McCluster out Wednesday with ankle sprain."

Walker returns to practice

DW

Pyro's take: Beat writer Jimy Wyatt stated via twitter "TE Delanie Walker returned to the practice field today after missing past 2 days with hand injury"

Even though

ESPN Titans reporter Paul Kuharsky still considers Delanie Walker (questionable, wrist) "iffy" to play Sunday at Cleveland.

Walker has a sprained wrist ligament

DW

Pyro's take: Terry McCormick via twitter has stated "Delanie Walker said he has sprained ligament in his wrist" Walker stated that "being able to keep (the wrist) stable is the hardest part."

If he cannot go then Chase Coffman and Anthony Fasano will be inserted in the starting lineup.

Passed Concussion Protocol

Delani Walker has passed the concussion protocol mandated by the NFL, and is now listed as probable against the Eagles. He has practiced in full this week.

Pyro's take: Eagles are tough against the tight ends as they are ranked fourth against the position. Also, Walker just doesnt seem as though he is overlooked when not teamed with Jake Locker.

Him and Others

Jim Wyatt, beat writer for Tennessee Titans has stated that "Not practicing today for #Titans: Walker, Hill, McCluster, Leon Washington"

Pyro's take: A lot of pieces not practicing for the Titans this week, only Walker has some fantasy value. He has gone from hero to zero since Jake Locker has gone out of commission.
