WR Doug Baldwin – Doug Baldwin’s fantasy value lies in the fact that he is a PPR monster, but with only 4 targets in Week 1 we have to pump the breaks. Luckily for Baldwin owners, the 49ers who allowed more receiving touchdowns to WR1s than any other team in the NFL. You likely spent a 3rd or 4th round pick on Baldwin this year. He should be able to return value on that investment in this one, he draws a great matchup with K’Waun Williams. Baldwin had 56 air yards, but surprisingly only 7 yards after the catch. I like Baldwin’s chances to get the ball in space so long that the line gives Wilson an extra second to sit back and read the D.

WR Doug Baldwin – Baldwin has one of the best, if not the best matchups of the week against Quinten Rollins in the slot. As it is stated the Packers gave up 10+ fantasy points to multiple opposing WRs and they did not make any major moves in the offseason to address this. Baldwin proved last year that his 14 TD season was not a one year wonder as he consistently produced top end numbers granting him a PFF grade in the top 10 WRs. Rollins on the other hand got a 61 grade and gave up 1.62 yards per route run, which was bottom 15 among eligible CBs. Baldwin has the most favorable matchup according to PFF at +52 and is not super expensive in DFS and should be used in all season long formats this week.

Baldwin Proved He Is For Real

With some regression accounted for because of Baldwin’s historically high efficiency, his outlook is still WR1 level. The red flag for Baldwin is the Seahawks are throwing 150 times more per season than they were with Marshawn Lynch as the full-time starter. With the addition of Eddie Lacy, we could see the Seahawks look to shift their offense back to a rush heavy attack, which would clearly impact Baldwin’s upside.

Fantasy Goo: Of players targeted more than 100 times, only Jordy Nelson yielded a higher QB rating when targeted. After another 90 catch season we can say that Baldwin is a top end WR after second guessing his extremely hot finish to the 2015 season.

Baldwin Has Another Great Matchup in Week 17

I was on him last week and am again. He will have another tasty matchup as the Seattle Seahawks will face the 49'ers.

Fantasy Goo: SF has allowed 9 different WRs to amass at least 90 yards against them so far this season. Only 3 teams have allowed more passing TDs in 2016.

Seahawks sign Baldwin to four-year extension

The Seahawks rewarded him Tuesday, signing Baldwin to a four-year contract extension that runs through 2020. According to multiple media reports, the deal is worth $46 million, with $24.25 million guaranteed.

Fantasy Goo: Doug is currently going #47 overall in mock drafts per the FFC, sandwiched between Golden Tate and Jeremy Maclin for wide receivers. The one time undrafted free agent from Stanford has turned into a quality performer to the tune of 10 touchdowns over a 4 game stretch in 2015. 78 receptions for 1,069 and 14 total TDs do not seem to excite the fantasy world as you might expect but, that could be due to the memory of his 2014 season where he played in 16 games and only gathered 3 TDs. With the current mystery surrounding Thomas Rawls early season 2016 status and Russell Wilson’s continued growth I believe Doug Baldwin is a steal at his #47 overall draft spot but, I would not argue taking Greg Olsen (going 50th), Jonathan Stewart (going 53rd)or Andrew Luck (going 49th) at #47.

Doug Baldwin Agrees To A Contract Extension With Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks and WR Doug Baldwin agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension worth $46 million that includes "just north" of $24 million in guaranteed money according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Baldwin is tied to Seattle until the 2020 season.

Fantasy Goo: Doug Baldwin was awarded a new four-year contract extension on Tuesday. The five-year veteran receiver had his best statistical season of his career in 2015 where he caught 78 targets for 1,069 yards and 14 touchdowns, 11 of which coming from Week 12 and beyond. Consider Baldwin a low-end WR1 with tremendous upside because of how he finished last season. Keep in mind that the Seahawks are rumored to return to a power running team that could take away some of Baldwin's targets.

Doug Baldwin not to worried about contract extension

Doug Baldwin is coming to an end with his three-year $13 million contract, and he seems not too concerned about that. "No we haven’t had any talks," Baldwin said. "And to be completely honest I’m not too concerned. I’m enjoying my time right now. Anxious to get back with my teammates."

Baldwin had his career year last season catching 78 passes for 1069 yards and tied for the lead league in touchdowns with 14.

He has improved each season with the Seahawks in every category and is clearly their number one receiver over Jermaine Kearse who did sign a three-year extension for $13.5 million.

Doug Baldwin has plenty left in the tank as he is only 27-years old, and should be a considered a low 3 or high 4 wide receiver in all league formats.

Baldwin is a Game Time Decision in Week 16

Seattle is playing in one of the late games. set your lineup accodingly. Move Baldwin to the flex spot so you can have a bit more freedom to replace him if word comes down that he is out. Make sure you have a potential replacement on your bench. You could also take a look at the waiver wire. Is Lockett availalbe? What about Kearse? Lockett is a good play regaardless. Kearse can be boom or bust but if indeed Baldwin is out, both he and Lockett will certainly get more touches

Baldwin has stepped up his game with the loss of Sidney Rice. The news that Percy Harvin is coming back, is now news that will not effect Baldwin. He will remain starting in Rice's role when Harvin returns, so if you are looking for potential in a deeper league, Baldwin might be worth a shot. This could be a good week for him against a struggling Falcons team.

This could be a good week for him against a struggling Falcons team.

Seattle is playing in one of the late games. set your lineup accodingly. Move Baldwin to the flex spot so you can have a bit more freedom to replace him if word comes down that he is out.
