(+) Frank Gore was the engine that drove the 49ers last season as he compiled the second-most rushing attempts of his career (282 attempts; 312 in 2006)
(+) He also had the second-highest rushing total in his career as well (1,211 yards; 1,695 in 2006)
(+) Has been the 49ers featured back since 2006 and despite the talented youth around him, doesn’t look like he wants to give the role up anytime soon
(+) Showed he can still dominate for long stretches at a time for your fantasy team putting up five-straight 100-yard games last season
(+) Not only scored a rushing TD in four straight games during his 100-yard game stretch, but also had a three-game stretch with TDs late in the season as well
(–) The 49ers have a slew of running backs and it looks like each will have some sort of role this season, thus limiting Frank Gore’s chances
(–) The new additions to the WR corps could change the offensive scheme even more to a semi-pass-happy attack
(–) Either way, Gore is due to see a more limited role in the offense anyway with all the talent around him
(–) Gore is turning 29 this season, so a slow-down could be coming
(–) Always been a reliable receiver, but his reception total dropped to a meager 17 catches last season
(–) With LaMicheal James in the fold as a potential third-down back, his number of receptions this season could drop even further
