Brown Another Victim of Sickle Cell

Pyro's take: Bruce Arians released today that John 'Smoke' Brown has sickle cell trait.

Fantasy Goo: Brown has been on a list of drop able players. Many players have shown strong comebacks though including Tevin Coleman this season in Denver. Brown still has a huge upside when healthy, hold him if you can.

Nelson is #2 on the Cardinals Depth Chart

Pyro's take: Officially, Fitzgerald is 1, Nelson 2, followed by Michael at 3, and John Brown is 4.

Fantasy Goo: That said, in the last 4 games, Michael Floyd only has 4 targets. I'd rather roll Brown than Floyd, but honestly, I am not picking either. Nelson on the other hand, has 19 targets and 2 Tds in the last 2 games.

Both Arizona WRS to Go

Pyro's take: Floyd has been questionable all week but is slated to play. Jaron Brown was added to IR not long ago.

Fantasy Goo:
I like John Brown in this matchup. Floyd has been less and less apart of the game plan lately.

The arizona Brown Boys Health in Question

Pyro's take: Jaron is Questionable, and John Brown is listed as Doubtful.

Fantasy goo: Fitzgerald gets the boost here, but has a tough matchup versus Seattle. He will draw slot corner, Jeremy Lane. In his career against Seattle, Fitzgerald scores a TD in less than 50% of matchups and averages around 73 yards per game. But, considering they are seemingly out of real options, Palmer may have to feed Larry more than normal and is worth a flex flier.

John Brown Cleared For Practice

Arizona Cardinals

Pyro's take: Arizona Cardinals beat writer Mike Jurecki is reporting that WR John Brown (concussion) has been medically cleared to practice on Sunday.

Fantasy Goo: Brown was cleared from the concussion protocol to resume football activities after missing three weeks of training camp and two preseason games. He is currently projected as the No. 2 wideout on Arizona's depth chart, but it is difficult to determine the roles of any of their receivers. In any week, Brown, Larry Fitzgerald or Michael Floyd could lead the team in receiving as the Cardinals tend to roll with the hot hand in their game plan.

John Brown (hamstring)

JB

Pyro's take: Brown will be active tonight against the Vikings

John Brown (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

JB

Pyro's take: Brown was at full-strength last week and is probably under caution at practice. He should be ready to go for Sunday.

Floyd Will Play in Week 12

d

Pyro's take: He has the Questionable rating but unless he suffers a set back in warm ups, the Cardinals are expecting him to play. John Brown and Fitz are listed as probable.

Jaron Excellent Draft Kings play in Week 11

11

Pyro's take: If indeed Smoke Brown and Floyd are out, I love this call. In all likely hood, one of them is out for Week 11 (my guess is that Floyd does not play). IF one or better yet both are out, than JAron gets a huge boost. This is Carson Palmer's revenge game. Carcinals have one of the highest implied team point totals of the week at nearly 29. Points a plenty, but not as many mouths to feed for the Cardinals. Jaron has a minimum salary on Draft Kings.

John Brown (hamstrings) returned to Cardinals practice Thursday,

JB

Pyro's take: Even if he does play it would be difficult to assume he will have a good day against the Bengals. He may be worth a flex option if Michael Floyd does not play.

Floyd Considered Day to Day Going into Week 11

day to day

Pyro's take: Michael Floyd is considered day to day going into Week 11. HE is officially Questionable. Certainly if he is held out, or if he is hampered, I like JB. His bagel two weeks ago was due to his health, even though he was active, they were not using him in order to keep him healty. Last week Sherman was on him. HE has the best matchup, likely drawing Dre Kirkpatrick. He should bounce back in Week 11, especially if Floyd is hampered.

John Brown (hamstrings) was limited in Wednesday's practice

JB

Pyro's take: Even though he is limited he is on track to play this Sunday against the tough Seatlle Seahawks defense. Consider him a Wr 3 or flex option

John Brown (hamstring) hasn't ruled himself out

JB

Pyro's take: Darren Urban via Twitter stated "John Brown said this week will be like last - he'll give practice a try tomorrow, and then see how he feels on Sunday if he can go."

Brown has yet to practice this week, but will attempt to do so on Friday. Bruce Arians is being cautious stating that he should rest this week after playing hurt last Sunday.

John Brown caught 4-of-6 targets for 65 yards and one touchdown

JB

Pyro's take: John Brown should buy Carson Palmer dinner every night. He has quickly become C-Palm's favorite target especially in the end zone. He finished the night with four receptions for 65-yards and a touchdown.

JB Active Tonight

Pyro's take: Brown is indeed active. Arians said it would be a game time decision. I held out hope and am counting on pay dirt!

Bruce Arians said he's "optimistic" John Brown (questionable, hamstring) will play this week.

JB

Pyro's take: Darren Urban tweeted "Arians said he's optimistic WR John Brown will play Monday but he was limited today. Game day decision. #BALvsAZ #AZCardinals"

Sounds good to me. Start 'em if you got 'em

John Brown (hamstring) told Sirius XM Fantasy that he is "full go this week"

JB

Pyro's take: Sirius Radio tweeted that "#Cardinals WR John Brown tells @Jones_Drew32 and @md_1010xl that he is "full go this week" and will be out on the field on Monday night."

Good news for fantasy owners, as he seems to be getting good looks from Palmer.

Brown Nice Matchup in Week #3

Brown week 3 matchup

Pyro's take: John Brown will see a good deal of Kenneth Acker in Week #3. PFF rates him as the 87th CB in coverage out of 97 total rated players at the position.

Rookie John Brown impresses in AZ

Brown was an unknown before the Cardinals drafted him in the third round in May, but has thus far wowed the organization with his progress. The
Pittsburg State product picked up significant buzz with his offseason production and played well on the first two days of training camp.

Monday was the first day of full pads, and coach Bruce Arians was interested to know how he would handle the change.“Can he play that fast? Can he get off the jam?” Arians said. “It’ll be more physical.”

Brown did his part to give answers, highlighting the practice with an 82-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Drew Stanton in 11-on-11 action.

Pyro's take: Brown landed in a perfect situation in Arizona. The rookie is only 5'10", but he has blazing 4.34 speed. That speed in Bruce Arians offense is a weapon that will be used. Arians has always favored a speedster that can challenge defenses, stretching the field and creating big play opportunities. Brown has a good chance to win the slot job, and hit on some long touchdown plays this season.
