2012 Pros and Cons
(+) For once in his career, Vick might actually be undervalued by fantasy owners and found on the cheap later in your draft. Many owners may avoid Vick altogether after the season he had last year - Huge risk/reward pick
(+) His rushing TD total has to increase after only finding the endzone once with his legs last season
(+) Vick might feel the need to prove himself as his legend of being the best running quarterback in the league is being threatened by Cam Newton
(+) His six-year deal with the Eagles isn’t fully guaranteed, so he must continue proving himself each year
(+) Should have a full arsenal of healthy targets this season
(+) DeSean Jackson finally got paid, so it’s unlikely he’ll continue to be the team cancer he was in 2011
(+) Jeremy Maclin is ready to go this season now that he’s put on a strong 20-pounds and is totally healthy
(+) The “Dream Team” moniker is off the Eagles backs, so there’s not as much pressure to live up to everyone else’s expectations
(+) Despite it looking like a down-season, he still ended up with the sixth-most QB fantasy points per game in 2011
(–) McCoy emerged as a complete back and found the endzone aplenty, deterring from both Vick’s rushing and passing TDs. Could McCoy steal his thunder again?
