Paul Richardson

Seattle Seahawks

P-Rich Get Ya Rich in DFS

WR Paul Richardson – One big surprise from last week was Paul Richardson leading the Seahawks in targets last week. He has another favorable matchup with Rashard Robinson and his DFS prices makes him a very nice dart throw. Richardson’s week 1 target share was among the top 15 in the NFL at 25.9%, but he wasn’t utilized quite as much with his Hog Rate in the 90s. Richardson is going to have a couple huge weeks for fantasy this year, but the struggle is pin pointing these matchups. This game has a good chance to be one of the dart throw Richardson weeks.

Paul Richardson

Seattle Seahawks

P-Rich Gaining Momentum

WR Paul Richardson – You may be surprised to see Richardson here, but he is their official WR2 on the depth chart and has looked the part in the preseason of this year and made some really big plays at the end of the past season and into the playoffs. His cat-like reflexes allow him to adjust to the ball in midair and come down with it despite his small 6 foot 183 pound frame. Richardson lined up on the left 44% of the snaps and right 40% so the Seahawks will move him across the field, but the likely matchup of Davon House who graded out as one of the worst CBs in the league at 43.4 generates a +40% matchup for the speedster. Richardson is super cheap on DFS and is a great option if you want to go grab a top RB or WR, but you likely have better options among your season long teams. Richardson is still a nice play in season long as he could break off a few long ones.

Tyler Lockett

Seattle Seahawks

The Kearse Has Been Lifted From Seattle

“The Seattle Seahawks have traded wide receiver Jermaine Kearse along with draft considerations to the New York Jets in exchange for defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson.” Paul Richardson and Tyler Lockett both benefit from this. Both are the small fast receivers, Richardson is slightly taller, but thinner.

Fantasy Goo: Lockett has a prime opportunity to complete the narrative of the “third-year-breakout” and with Richardson being injured his second season, this will be his third full year as well. Both can be considered late round flyers if you’re still drafting and possible cheap DFS tournament plays for week 1. Kearse to the Jets is like the worst kind of death sentence for him.

Seattle Seahawks

Richardson Taking Advantage of Opportunity

“Paul Richardson usually lined up as the other starting receiver in the base offense alongside Doug Baldwin. It appears to indicate that Richardson has remained ahead of Kearse on the depth chart, though Tyler Lockett will likely into that role ahead of both players once he returns.”

Richardson is a team favorite, everyone on the team seems to really pull for him, well at least they did in the last four games of the season (including playoffs) last year. Richardson has dynamic speed and is a small shifty receiver with an above average catch radius. Not a bad choice as a last round flyer in deeper leagues.
