(+) Pierre Garcon put up admiral numbers in a very lack luster passing game for the Colts last season
(+) Actually had the best season of his career last year WITHOUT Peyton Manning
(+) RG3 posted some of the best deep passing numbers ever in college football least year and if there is one thing Garcon can do is beat the defense over the top
(+) Garcon is just turning 26 before the season and should be entering the prime of his career this season
(-) Garcon had three games in which he put up over 24 points, without those games Garcon becomes a much more pedestrian wide receiver
(-) Garcon has been dubbed the teams number one receiver by default, but with a young Leonard Hankerson and a savvy Santana Moss he could be in for a bigger battle than expected
(-) With the newly established talent on the offensive side of the ball it might be hard for Garcon to see 134 targets again this year
Pierre Garcon may have been just an unknown speedy kid out of a Division III school to start the 2009 season, but he sure didn’t end up that way. At all. Granted, Peyton Manning can make shit-on-a-stick look good if it had two hands and feet, but a lot of the big plays Pierre made last year, he made happen all on his own. He left the total receptions side of the equation to All Pros Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark (slot man Austin Collie got his share too), but make no mistake about it, Garcon was a huge part in the Colts overall success. His speed and quickness are downright filthy, and when they needed him most in the playoffs, he was right there to catch touchdowns and put up a 151-yard game when they needed it. If he sticks around in Indy for awhile, the sky is the limit for this kid.
~ Ranked 36th in the league with 101.5 WR fantasy points (basic scoring system)
~ Tied for 54th in the league with 4 receiving touchdowns
~ Ranked 44th in the league with 765 receiving yards
~ Ranked 41st in the league with 54.6 receiving yards per game
~ Tied for 74th in the league with 47 receptions
~ Tied for 51st in the league with 91 targets
~ Ranked 24th in the league with 13 receptions of 20+ yards
~ Ranked 50th in the league with 33 catches for first downs
~ Tied for 52nd in the league with 285 yards after the catch (YAC)
~ Set career highs in every major statistical receiving category
After seeing what he did in the playoffs last year, the Colts feel genuinely confident in throwing Garcon out wide opposite Reggie Wayne to start the 2010 season. However, because he’s not a high-volume receptions guy (and doesn’t need to be) in this offense, he might not work out to be much more than a #3 WR on your fantasy team. That being said, wohhhh are those big weeks going to be nice. He put up a few of those during the season last year, and likely will put up a couple more than that in 2010, but the lack of consistency in that regard keeps his fantasy ceiling as being a high-end WR3.
~ Anthony Gonzalez being back in the WR mix shouldn’t affect his playing time with any significance
~ He’ll have had a full offseason working with Manning and the starters. Bonus!
~ Coming from a small, Division III school, you know he has the work ethic to stay on his game
~ The Colts consistently have one of the highest-octane offenses in the league

Watch out for this kid. With Manning as his QB, the sky's the limit:
Pierre signed a rookie contract worth $1.796 million over four years back in the summer of 2008 that included a $91,000 signing bonus. The last two years are below:
2010 - $470,000
2011 - $555,000
2012 – Free Agent
The handcuff to Garcon could be either Anthony Gonzalez or Austin Collie, depending on who comes out on top by the start of the season
Garcon battled nagging knee and ankle problems for a bit last year, but he's since recovered and looking fine for the start of the 2010 season
