Who woulda thunk it? Williams started off the year as a 32-year old handcuff to a younger, hungrier (well, in one sense of the word) Ronnie Brown, and then ended up sneaking in as the tenth leading rusher the NFL produced in 2009. If you can find one NFL fan (fantasy player or not) who says that they saw this coming, well then you should send him over to BP. The Dolphins lost Brown to a foot injury in the middle of their ninth game of the season, and even though he was the main cog in their Wildcat offense, Ricky made sure that they didn’t miss a beat. Even though the team’s record didn’t improve (4-5 with Brown, 3-4 without), Ricky impressed by putting up three 100-yard games and 6 combined touchdowns over those past seven weeks. For a guy who was basically written off as an elite running back and hadn’t put up a 1,000-yard season since 2003, that’s one hell of an accomplishment.
