Run DMC Said to Play in Week 11, but we Might See Turbin

dall

Pyro's take: Romo's return and t is actually a fantastic RB mathcup. Dolphins have given up the 2nd most FF Points to RBs so far. McFadden is said to start,. but if indeed he suffers a set bnack, the team will go with Rod Smith. I love the match up, DMC has been able to keep himself on the field the last year and a half, I would likely gamble with him. Rod Smith is not a bad stash, just in case McFadden does aggrevate his injury. Rovert Turbin, who just signed, is listed as 3rd on the depth chart.

Mike Pettine expects the running back carries to vary week to week.

IC

Pyro's take: The Cleveland Browns backfield just became even more murky. It appears as though it will be a three-headed monster. Duke Johnson is the receiving specialist, Crowell is the 20-20 guy, and Robert Turbin is the short-yardage and end zone guy.

Great for the NFL, but horrible news for Crow owners. He virtually has nothing to offer but approximately 60-80 yards a game.

“If you went running back continuum,” Pettine said, “I think we have a guy at each end, and I think Crow slides somewhere in between.”

“People look at that (competition) as a problem, but we see it as a good problem to have,” Browns coach Mike Pettine said. “I don’t think we’re going to go into a game and say, ‘Hey, we want to get X number of touches to each of these guys.’ Some of that will be a function of what the defense is giving us, how they want to play us, and then at the same time, Flip (offensive coordinator John DeFilippo) will have it coordinated where certain plays will be for certain backs, and he’ll have those personnel groupings tagged accordingly.”

Robert Turbin (ankle) is listed as questionable

RT

Pyro's take: Robert Turbin looks ready to go, and with Isaiah Crowell banged up, Turbin could be used in goal line situations.

Turbin wants a quick return

RT

Pyro's take: Mary Kay Cabot reported via twitter "running back Robert Turbin (ankle) says he's aiming for #Chargers game Oct. 4, team is telling more like #Ravens Oct. 11"

IF Isaiah Crowell continues to struggle, Turbin could push for playing time.

Robert Turbin released

RT

Pyro's take: Robert Turbin was released by the Seattle Seahawks today, Turbin is dealing with a high-ankle sprain. The Seahawks basically cut him a check then cut him off their roster. Once healed he should get looks from different teams. I would keep him on my radar for future referance.
