(+) Roddy led the league in targets with 179 and has been in first or second in that category the past three years (1st in ’10, 2nd in ’09)
(+) Second straight 100-reception season
(+) Atlanta is headed towards more passing and less rushing this year
(+) Roddy had 1,296 receiving yards, the third-most of his career and fifth straight 1,000-yard season
(+) PPR machine – put up at least six catches in nine games and had double-digit receptions three times
(+) Five 100-yard games, with the lowest total being a 120-yard outing vs. Vikings
(+) We fully expect Matt Ryan to become one of the elite fantasy football QBs this season
(+) Could be the best pure route runner in the league and usually snags everything thrown his way
(–) A healthy and full off-seasoned Julio Jones most likely eats into some of his targets
(–) His longest reception in 2007 went for 69 yards, 2008 equaled 70 yards, 2009 was 90 yards, 2010 was 46 yards and now last year’s was 43 yards. With Julio now the deep threat on the team, Roddy’s YPC is not heading in the right direction
(–) Tony Gonzalez is playing so well—even at such an old age—that he’s eating into Roddy's TD production

It’s official. Roddy White has secured himself as one of the best receivers in the game and can now be considered a #1 fantasy wideout for your team. He scored touchdowns in over half his games and was targeted by Matt Ryan (along with Chris Redman) a whopping 165 times on the year. Despite Roddy having already signed his huge contract before the season started, and despite the loss of stud RB Michael Turner in the middle of the year, he was completely undeterred in putting up some seriously eye-catching numbers by seasons end. 2009 marked the third year in a row he exceeded 80 catches and 1,150 yards while also upping his TD count each year in the process.

~ Set a career best in receiving TDs (11)
With Matt Ryan and Michael Turner coming back fully healthy in 2010, Roddy White should have no problem repeating, and likely out-performing, his 2009 numbers. Tony Gonzalez will be back for another year to take the double-teams away from White, and with Turner running at full-speed again, the safeties won’t be able to stay back and crowd Roddy’s deep space. White is in the prime of his career right now, so if QB Matt Ryan can take another leap forward in his junior year, expect White to reap the #1 fantasy WR benefits.
~ A better receiver than Michael Jenkins would be nice to take a little more heat off of White
~ Michael Turner will be healthy, so defenses won’t be able to key in on White
~ Matt Ryan will have another year under his belt

Roddy White 2008 Highlights
Roddy White finally put his name to the contract he deserves about a week into the 2009 training camp by signing a six-year, $48 million contract that included $18.6 million guaranteed and a $6 million signing bonus. Another $4 million is also available through incentives while the rest is as follows:
2010 - $6.6 million

2012 - $5.5 million
2013 - $5.6 million

Michael Jenkins is still the handcuff to Roddy this season... at least for now.
Roddy has not missed a game in his five-year career
