2012 Pros and Cons

(+) Titus Young is expected to work out of the slot for what should be a high flying offense led by Matthew Stafford

(+) The Lions still have a lot of questions at running back and may need to lean on Stafford and the passing game

(+) With teams forced to double cover Megatron, Young should be able to find a lot of open space underneath and create one on one matchups on the outside

(+) Young has been lighting it up in the OTA’s as he has been virtually unguardable and could challenge Nate Burleson to be the Lions 2nd WR

(+) Young showed that he can find the endzone as he scored 4 of 6 TD’s in the final 4 weeks of the season

(+) At 5’11 180 pounds and running around a 4.5 forty Young is not the most athletic receiver in the league but he seems to be able to create space with his good quickness sort of in the mold of Welker

(+) Titus is a very competitive receiver who has a knack for winning both matchups and football games

(-) His lack of elite athleticism will keep his downfield ability low, as evidenced by his 12.6 yards per catch

(-) Has yet to show big upside but should continue being one of the more consistent receivers to be had in later rounds

(-) The Lions are flush with talent on all offensive skill positions and this will put a cap on everyone’s ability to put up huge numbers aside from Calvin Johnson
