Lockett the Rocket

Wilson sprinted left, then right, then back, then up, and finally found Lockett in the end zone for a touchdown.

Pyro's take: Wilson sprinted left, then right, then back, then up, and finally found Lockett in the end zone for a touchdown.

Fantasy Goo: Going as the 34th wide receiver and in the 7th round in 12 team mocks, Tyler should be a great reward for those who can wait till the 7th to take him. Seattle keeps trying to get him more and more involved and that is what fantasy owners want to hear. Wilson is great at extending plays as he did on this touchdown. Lockett is a quick speedster who can find the soft spots to bail out Wilson on these plays. Locket could hit 8 touchdowns this year which is not bad for a 7th rounder. If you are in a league that rewards long touchdowns this could be a year where Tyler grabs 3 or 4 touchdowns that go for over 40 yards.

Lockett Up

Throughout the offseason there has been a buzz in Renton that Lockett has made significant strides from last year and could become an even bigger factor in the offense in 2016.

Pyro's take: Throughout the offseason there has been a buzz in Renton that Lockett has made significant strides from last year and could become an even bigger factor in the offense in 2016.

Fantasy Goo: Tyler Lockett might be the one player opposing defenses fear most from Seattle other than Wilson in 2016. Defenses know that Seattle is a high percentage running offense. With Tyler Lockett running deep routes the Seahawks offense will be a true nightmare for their opponents. Fantasy owners should expect a large increase in workload for Tyler who was not used very much in 2015. Lockett is likely to score multiple touchdowns from distances beyond 30 yards this year.

Tyler Lockett To Be More Involved In Seahawks Offense In 2016

Seattle Seahawks

Pyro's take: Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told ESPN that WR Tyler Lockett is a "legit player for us, and he’s right in the middle of all our planning and all of our preparation" for the 2016 season.

Fantasy Goo: Tyler Lockett will likely see an increase in playing time and production in 2016 for the Seattle Seahawks. Lockett is entering his sophomore season in the NFL and could be in store for a bigger role as he could start opposite Doug Baldwin according to offseason rumors. Lockett's speed and versatility can end up being a matchup nightmare for defenders which bodes well for his fantasy value. Consider Lockett a sneaky pkay in the upcoming campaign with moderate upside despite the reports that the Seahawks will return to their run-first style of offense.

Tyler Lockett To Start For Seahawks In 2016

Seattle Seahawks

Pyro's take: Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told the media that WR Tyler Lockett is "a starting wide receiver for us" and that he is viewed as "much more" than a special teamer

According to reports, Tyler Lockett will be the receiver starting opposite Doug Baldwin for the Seahawks. Lockett had a solid rookie year in 2015. He appeared in all 16 regular season games and tallied 51 receptions for 664 yards and six touchdowns. Lockett is also a special team ace as he accounted for two additional scores via returns(one kick return, one punt return). Baldwin should garner the attention of the opposing team's best defensive back which leaves Lockett in favorable situations.

Tyler Lockett (hip) is listed as probable for Sunday's Wild Card game.

TL

Pyro's take: Tyler Lockett has practiced in full the last two days after being held out on Wednesday. He will be a full go on Sunday against Minnesota.

Baldwin is a Game Time Decision in Week 16

f

Pyro's take: Seattle is playing in one of the late games. set your lineup accodingly. Move Baldwin to the flex spot so you can have a bit more freedom to replace him if word comes down that he is out. Make sure you have a potential replacement on your bench. You could also take a look at the waiver wire. Is Lockett availalbe? What about Kearse? Lockett is a good play regaardless. Kearse can be boom or bust but if indeed Baldwin is out, both he and Lockett will certainly get more touches

Lockett has Excellent Matchup in Week 3

Lockett great matchup in week 3

Pyro's take: Lockett will likely see Kyle Fuller most of the week 3 game. PFF rates Fulled as ther second worst CB in coverage so far this year. This is basically were he was rated all of last year. The only hesitation you have is the fact that Seattle might run away with this so early, they may not need to rely on the pass as much, you are hoping for early action, which is very plausible as Fuller is absolutely an abomination in the secondary.

Rookie Lockett to be a key in the offense

TL

Pyro's take: ESPN Seahawks reporter Sheil Kapadia wouldn’t be surprised if rookie Tyler Lockett "plays a significant role" in Week 1.

Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell admitted Lockett is “light-years ahead” of where the coaches thought he’d be as a receiver. He showed the ability to win outside and in the slot.
