Waiver Wire Target

Fuller saw his first action of the year this week and he caught four passes for 35 yards with two touchdowns. Fuller was targeted downfield by Watson, and while they did not connect, those will come. Fuller is a nice add in long touchdown leagues, and it looks like he will see the second most amount targets after Hopkins.

Missing Piece Returns

Texans coach Bill O'Brien confirms Will Fuller (collarbone) will make his 2017 debut on Sunday. Fuller should immediately slide in as the Texans' No. 2 receiver.

Fantasy Goo: When healthy Fuller brings a dynamic the Texans have been severely lacking. He doesn’t have the best catch rate, but he is an explosive receiver that can track the deep ball or take a five yard slant to the house. At $3800 on DK he’s a great punt play, he went for over 100 yards in the first two games of the season last year.

Strong Out, Fuller In

Will Fuller (collarbone) returned to practice on Monday. It's a potential sign Fuller could return for Week 3. The Houston Chronicle reported in early August that Fuller would likely miss "2-3 months," but Fuller is an elite athlete in optimal condition, and he is capable of beating a lengthy timetable like that. The Texans also placed WR Jaelen Strong on waivers and the Jaguars have claimed him.

Fantasy Goo: It’s too bad the Texans still don’t have a QB. Fuller could add a valuable weapon for Watson, but I don’t see Watson being a productive QB that can maintain two WR’s with weekly fantasy value. Keep Fuller on the watch list just in case Watson proves he can produce or they shift to a free agent QB.

Fuller Breaks Collarbone

“Texans receiver Will Fuller broke his collarbone during Wednesday's practice. He will undergo surgery and is out for 2-3 months.” Fuller didn’t begin camp on the active/PUP list, so he is ineligible for reserve/PUP.

Fantasy Goo: Braxton Miller and Jaelen Strong will battle for Fuller’s targets. Strong is bigger, stronger, faster, and younger than Miller, while Miller is the more agile of the two. Strong is also entering his third year in the league while Miller is entering his sophomore season. It is difficult to determine who will win the job, but either way the QB situation isn’t one we are targeting.

Fade Fuller for Fiedorowicz

Fuller has been heating up as of late with 12 hauls for 120 in his last two games. But there are only so many targets to go around in Houston.

Fantasy Goo: Over the past 5 weeks there are only 6TE's with more targets than CJF and the Colts are allowing the 4th most FF points to TE1's.

Houston…We Have Lift-Off

Fuller finished with five catches for 107 yards and a touchdown. Fuller has quickly given the Texans a second weapon in the passing game, along with DeAndre Hopkins, that requires attention from more than one defender.

Fantasy Goo: Will Fuller runs a 4.32. That is BLAZING! With opponents worried about mega star DeAndre Hopkins the field is open for Will Fuller to shoot like a bolt of lightning anywhere he pleases. Questions about his hands will surface time to time but, few speedsters ever have had great hands. Will Fuller caught 5 out of the 11 targets for 107 yards and a touchdown. 11 targets are a dream-come-true. If that were to continue we would not care if he dropped a couple. 11 targets each week will not happen but, we know that it can happen at least sometimes and that is enough to get the excitement brewing. Fuller is a solid WR3 or Flex play until he proves otherwise and is a cheap DFS play for now. Hopkins owners should be excited as well.

Back to back games with a TD for Fuller

Osweiler led the Texans to scores on three of his four drives. He connected with first-round pick Will Fuller on a 26-yard touchdown pass that extended Houston's lead to 24-10 before sitting down with about three minutes left in the first half.

Fantasy Goo: Last week Will Fuller gave us a taste with 4 grabs for 73 yards with a touchdown and this past weekend hauled in 3 passes for 67 yards and another touchdown. We love touchdown magnets on our fantasy rosters. This could be the beginning of a good thing especially at the current draft spot of the 13th round in 12 team leagues. Will Fuller might be on your waiver wire in your leagues that have already drafted. If you have a chump on your roster, I recommend giving Fuller a spot on your team. DeAndre Hopkins costs a late 1st round pick leaving Fuller as a spectacular low risk high reward possibility. Go get him…

Cecil Shorts

Houston Texans

Cecil Shorts Agrees To A Pay Cut To Remain A Texan

The Houston Texans and WR Cecil Shorts have agreed to terms on a contract restructure that will likely secure his roster spot on the team for the 2016 season. Shorts was originally set to earn $2.75 million this year which was chopped down to a $1.2 million base salary to go along with a $500K roster bonus. The veteran receiver could have been in danger of being released if he did not agree to the new deal as Houston selected Will Fuller and Braxton Miller in the 2016 NFL Draft back in April.

Fantasy Goo: Cecil Shorts appeared in 11 games in 2015 with the Texans and caught 42 passes for 484 yards and two touchdowns. Shorts is currently expected to enter the 2016 season as the No. 3 wide receiver for the Texans, but that could change if any of the younger players on the roster outplays him in training camp and the preseason. Shorts should not be on the fantasy radar until a more distinguished role is known for the five-year veteran.

Jaelen Strong

Houston Texans

Strong Impresses at OTAs

After coming into camp last year overweight, Jaelen Strong has a lot to prove. Last year he reported to camp weighing 231. He is listed at 217, but played closer to 200 towards the end of the year. O'Brien called him out but has been impressed so far this season with Strong's effort and conditioning. The second year WR certainly hopes so as his marijuana charge is a strike against him, and now he is in a camp battle with the likes of Cecil Shorts and more notabley, the rookie Will Fuller.

Personaly, my money is on Fuller and this team is going to run with newly acquired Lamar Miller. I am not going to draft a Texan WR beyond Nuke. They want a guy to stretch the field for Hopkins. So they pick up Brock? There were 30 other QBs that had more 20 yard pass plays last season - just saying!

Go get him…

Go get him…

Go get him…

Will Fuller
